Dogs Waiting for Homes

Please take a moment to view photos and read about these wonderful dogs waiting for a home. You could be their hero!  Tom, Linda, Bruce, Snow White and Blakie could be your next best friend.

This is Tom, he is a 4 month old puppy (Rotti Mix). He is very sweet and loving. He is about 40 lbs and he is waiting to be part of a loving home.  Anybody interested in Tom please contact Jacquelyn Johnston at 305 418-7131 or at her email jjohnst@miamidade.gov.

Meet Linda ("Pretty" in Spanish, isn't she?) Linda is a beautiful Pitbull. She came in to the shelter full of milk but no puppies could be found anywhere. She is shy but when you speak softly to her she slowly comes up to you and tries to cuddle into your lap. She is very loving and it doesn’t take her long to warm up to new people. She doesn’t seem to have any food reactivity issues, and takes treats gently from your hand. Approx 55lbs. She is ready to be adopted at " The Miami Animal Services Department". Anybody interested in Linda please contact Jacquelyn Johnston at 305 418-7131 or at her email jjohnst@miamidade.gov.

This big boy is Bruce, he is a beautiful white Bulldog. When he first arrived to the shelter he wasn't comfortable being in a strange place. However, now he is an outgoing and playful boy who absolutely LOVES to play in the play yard. We would love to see this boy get a chance, he would need a home who wants an energetic dog that would benefit from basic obedience training. He is ready to be adopted at " The Miami Animal Services Department". Anybody interested in Bruce please contact Jacquelyn Johnston at 305 418-7131 or at her email jjohnst@miamidade.gov.

Sweet Snow White was adopted in March of last year, but now her owner is pregnant and she’s back at the shelter. Snow White is already spayed, 53lbs and ready to be adopted at " The Miami Animal Services Department". Anybody interested in Snow White please contact Jacquelyn Johnston at 305 418-7131 or at her email jjohnst@miamidade.gov.

Sweet Blakie was brought to the shelter in as a possible hit by car case. He is 73lbs and mostly black lab. He was previously adoptedUnfortunately his adopters have cancelled, however, stating that they cannot afford his vet bills. Now he is ready to go home, he is already neutered, HW negative and full of love. Please help this good boy find a loving home! He is ready to be adopted at " The Miami Animal Services Department". Anybody interested in Blakie please contact Jacquelyn Johnston at 305 418-7131 or at her email jjohnst@miamidade.gov.

  2. Really hoping they find homes. I will share this with a friend who lives not too far from Miami. Maybe she knows someone who can help.

Thank you so much for your nice comment on the Plexidor post and I absolutely understand about no cats on balconies (we felt the same when we were living in Rome)!
