A Puppy and a Horse Made The Most Successful 2014 SuperBowl Commercial

We already know who won the Superbowl this year (sorry Bronco Fans), but there was another winner that night; Budweiser.
Anheuser-Busch’s “Puppy Love” ad, developed by the agency Anomaly, was voted the top commercial during the game by viewers on Hulu. It also earned the top spot on USA Today’s Ad Meter, which is calculated through online surveys of Super Bowl viewers each year. The spot is also dominating the other ads on YouTube, where it has racked up more than 37 million views since Wednesday, and it’s easily lapping the other ads in terms of social activity, according to media metrics firm iSpot.

But many ask what made this commercial the most watched and commented, well, this ad tells the heartwarming story of a puppy''s doggy determination to hang out with his favorite Budweiser Clydesdale horse — and the horse's reaction.

The ad was directed by Jake Scott, son of the famed director Ridley Scott. Jake Scott also directed last year's "Brotherhood" Budweiser Clydesdale ad that featured Jeanes.
This time around, Scott shot as many as 60 different scenes for the final "Puppy Love" spot. The bulk of the ad was shot at Ventura Farms in Thousand Oaks.

Don't you want to hug all those puppies and take them home with you? We do. Let us know what do you think about this ad in the comments.
